Retreat Details

Please join us on Friday, September 9th & Saturday, September 10th for this one of a kind event.  After the registration and check in at the historic Safety Harbor Resort and Spa, the retreat will begin with the attendees looking their best and posing for their keepsake portraits while mingling with other fathers and daughters.  After the portraits have been taken, the fathers will escort their daughters into the one of a kind Four Springs Ballroom and the Father—Daughter Banquet will begin.

As the fathers and daughters make their ways to the tables, each daughter will be presented with a custom, personalized silver bracelet augmented with genuine Swarovski Austrian Crystals in the colors of her and her father’s birthstones.

This memento has an expandable chain that enables it to grow with her so that it can be cherished throughout her lifetime.

This evening will be filled with luscious entrées prepared and served by the hotel’s experienced 4 star chef.  The retreat will officially open with some welcoming remarks by the evenings emcee Brian Harber followed by the first message of the retreat.

After the message, the fathers and daughters will get to know the other attendees as they head over to the dessert reception and coffee bar.  Following the reception, they will join their voices together and have a father-daughter singing.  As the night draws to a close, everyone is encouraged to enjoy each other’s company while enhancing that precious father-daughter bond.

The following morning, the fathers and daughters will all gather in the Baranoff Lobby for a delectable breakfast buffet that will include fluffy scrambled eggs, waffles and maple syrup, hot home fried potatoes, applewood bacon, freshly baked Danishes, fresh seasonal fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice.  In addition to enjoying breakfast, the fathers and daughters will also feast on the first of three morning messages.

There will be a break and the fathers and daughters will come back to listen to two more motivational and stimulating messages.  After a 35 minute break to check out of the hotel, the lunch buffet will be served.  The lunch buffet will include a build your own salad bar featuring several toppings and dressings, creamy potato salad, fresh fruit salad, grilled hamburgers, barbeque chicken breasts, baked beans with pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, sliced cheeses, condiments, rolls and cookies and brownies.

Following lunch, there will be father and daughter games that are both fun and designed to help fathers and daughters give their hearts to each other.

At the end of the games, the fathers and daughters will once again all come together to conclude the retreat with the final session followed by an awards presentation and some closing remarks.

Suggested Ages

Throughout the journey as father and daughter, there are unique obstacles to overcome, lessons to be learned and opportunities for growth. We understand this and that is why we are leaving the matter of age up to the discretion of the families that are attending. We’ve had young girls accompany their dads, and we have also had married women with children attend with their fathers. We have had girls come with their grandfathers. The choice is yours. This retreat is for God’s glory, and for your edification.
